| | While the VOC content of wasp and hornet insecticides is not currently regulated, CARB has included the category in future regulations. These products have undergone a significant change due to the mandated phase-out of ozone-depleting chemicals. In the past, 1,1,1 trichloroethane was often a major component of wasp and hornet sprays. Today, it has been replaced by other types of fluids with high dielectric breakdown voltage. The following are two examples developed and provided by suppliers using Isopar M Fluid. Both meet CARB's future VOC limit of 40 wt.%.
